Donate today and contribute towards the Ocean Observatory Project
Your support is key to help the Nature Counts Foundation protect the world’s fragile coral reef ecosystem. Coral reefs sustain nearly 25% of marine life and 10 percent of the world’s population. Sadly, coral reefs are in real danger; nearly 90 percent of all reefs could disappear by 2050 if we don’t take action to protect them.
Whilst the underwater world remains invisible to most of us, the Nature Counts Foundation is building the Ocean Observatory Project which will enable us to connect with the underwater world. The foundation deploys underwater cameras to monitor major coral reef projects across the globe and collect valuable data for the Ocean Observatory Project.
Underwater cameras provide live streaming video of the reef and marine life around it. Marine biologists are training our software system to recognise and track various fish species automatically. This game-changing approach allows reefs and restoration sites to be monitored daily with accurate reporting on marine life, replacing expensive and sporadic diving expeditions. Please support this important project with a donation. Together, we can restore coral reefs and protect our oceans.
